Sight Support Derbyshire in new partnership with Bequeathed
We are pleased to announce a new partnership with free online Will writing service, Bequeathed.
Together with the RNIB and local sight loss charities across the country, we are pleased to offer this accessible service enabling anyone to make a free Will for Good from the comfort of their own home.
We all want to make sure that our loved ones are taken care of in the future. By writing a Will, we can make sure our money, property and possessions go to the people and causes we care about. However, it’s one of those things we often put off because it just seems too difficult. The task can seem particularly challenging for people affected by sight loss.
That’s why we have teamed up with Bequeathed to make the whole experience as simple, convenient and accessible as possible. Bequeathed have worked closely with the RNIB to ensure their website and processes are fully accessible and that support is on hand for anyone who may need it, for whatever reason.
With Bequeathed there are just three simple steps to complete:
- Complete an online interview on the Bequeathed website
The questions help gather all the information required to make your Will. The website is fully accessible and the Bequeathed team are on hand to help if needed. This should take around 20 minutes. - Get advice from an accredited legal firm
Bequeathed will arrange a 30 minute appointment with a legal firm. You can choose between a phone or video call, at your home or at their office. They will discuss your situation and wishes and ensure the Will fully meets your needs. - Sign and witness your Will
You will be sent your Will which will need signing in front of witnesses and returning to the legal firm. They will check that all is in order and even store your Will for free, if you wish.
(The majority of Wills through Bequeathed are completed for free. However, if your Will is more complex you will be offered a quote as appropriate but you are under no obligation to proceed and there will be no cost to you for the work already done.)
