If you meet someone from Sight Support Derbyshire, chances are you’ll be meeting one of our dedicated volunteers. Without their help, we couldn’t do what we do.

Because our volunteers work right across our services, there are lots of things you can become involved in. See our Services pages to find out more, and look at our latest opportunities below.

Becoming a volunteer will help you to use and develop your own skills, and grow in confidence.  You can give as much time as you wish. For example, we always need fundraising volunteers, either to help regularly with stalls and collections, or to help out now and then at our bigger events.

You will receive full training and support, and you can claim expenses in line with our policy. Depending on your role, you may need to have a DBS check.

Becoming a volunteer is one of the most rewarding ways to spend some of your free time. Get in touch to find out more.

“I have been volunteering for over five years and love being able to give support to people when they are often at their most vulnerable…I find it very rewarding and it is my way of giving back to the community. I look forward to my volunteer day and I love every minute of it.”
