Children and Young People’s Project Worker

Children and Young People’s Project Worker
£7,788 for 12 hours per week (£12.48/hour) (£24,336 FTE) (Post is available for 12-14 hours)
Based in Derby

Sight Support Derbyshire is looking for a Children & Young People’s Project Worker to be part of a dedicated team supporting the delivery of high quality services to blind and partially sighted people in Derbyshire.

Part of the operational team based in Derby and reporting to the Project Services Manager, you will work across the City and County to deliver a calendar of activities to children and young people aged 8-18, and their families and carers.  You will need to be an enthusiastic ‘self-starter’ and able to work on your own initiative to ensure that the service runs smoothly and delivers the required outcomes.

This is an exciting opportunity to build on existing services and to develop new ideas with the children, young people, and families we work with.

It is essential for this post that you have experience of working with children & young people. You will also need to be able and willing to travel around the county. The hours can be worked flexibly, but do include one early evening session each week, and occasional full days during school holiday times.

At a time of big changes in both voluntary and statutory services we need people who can be flexible, adapt to change and bring a positive attitude to their work.

We can offer you a challenging and rewarding environment, a competitive salary, pension, and good holidays.  This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
