Sight Support Derbyshire’s duck spectacular returns to Riverlights, Derby River Gardens, on Saturday 8th June 2019.

Watch brightly decorated giant plastic ducks, and thousands of little ones, take to the waters of the River Derwent in the most hotly-contested race of the year. Buy a ticket to sponsor a little duck for just £1 and you could win £250 cash, donated by Lubrizol, if your duck is first to the reach the winning line!

Splash out and be creative! Buy a giant duck for £30 and show off your own artistic talents by decorating it and entering it in the Best Dressed Duck competition. Or enter as a team with friends, work colleagues or members of your club. The winner of each of these six categories will get a fun trophy, with a prize for the overall Best Dressed Duck:

  • Financial, Legal, Insurance and Corporate
  • Transport, Engineering and Construction
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Small Businesses
  • Community, Sports and Arts
  • Individuals / Miscellaneous

Our free event runs from 11am to 3pm and includes stalls, refreshments and family fun. Judging for the Best Dressed Duck competition is at 12 noon, the race starts at 1.30pm, and the winners are announced 2.45pm.
