We are pleased to introduce Victoria Gallimore as our new Social Activities Project Worker. After spending a few weeks getting to know Sight Support Derbyshire Victoria has swung into action and organised a varied programme of activities for the summer.
Activities vary from gentle activity such as walks, to cultural activities such as theatre trips, to historical activities such as a tour of St Mary and All Saints Church, home of the famous crooked spire, and of course plenty of opportunities for refreshments!
If you or someone you know is affected by sight loss and would like the opportunity to get out of the house and spend some time with other people living with similar daily challenges please do get in touch with us – we would love to hear from you. New members are always welcome and you don’t have to come to every event – you can pick and choose those events that are suitable for you. We know that living with sight loss can be challenging at times and people tell us they sometimes feel lonely and isolated. Our activity programme aims to give you the opportunity to visit new places and meet new people.
