A Sight Support Information Day is the ideal place to find out what support and equipment is on offer if you have a visual impairment. We hold one at least once a month and they are also open to families, friends, health care professionals and other interested parties.

The events are ‘drop in’ sessions held at local community venues from 10.30am to 1pm. As well as our friendly team and Mobile Resource Centre, we usually have around ten different organisations attend each event. These may include Derbyshire Library Services, the Macular Society, Age UK, and one or two technology and reading aid suppliers.

The events are held all over Derbyshire and are open to anyone with a visual impairment who lives in the county. If you have recently been registered with a sight impairment we will send you an invitation, but anyone is welcome to attend. All venues are accessible to all. A list of planned Information Days for 2024 can be found here: Sight Support Information Days 2024
